Write at the Museum was a series of four monthly workshops at the Museum of Childhood.
Six writers joined us for afternoons of creativity in the tranquil (some might say eerie!) space of the closed museum. They were free to roam the galleries and work in any space which suited them, and much of the work produced was indeed inspired by the material culture of childhood.
Facilitating the workshop was Regi Claire, a novelist and Royal Literary Fund Lector. The budding writers either chose to spend the afternoon writing something new, or came bearing work-in-progress poems, short stories, or even draft novel extracts, in order to receive feedback in a relaxed and supportive environment.
The writing group was so successful, it is going to be repeated this spring – and we would love you to join us!
The next course will start on 14th March. The following sessions are on 4th April, 2nd May, 30th May.
