Requiem

My father has always liked Robert Louis Stevenson, in fact I am named after the eponymous heroine of his novel Catriona. When I was 8 we visited his grave in Western Samoa. For years afterwards his Requiem poem hung above my bed and I used to recite it to myself whenever I struggled to sleep.
